SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury sophomore Tyler Harris was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week in men’s cross country for his performance last week.
Harris won the Queen City Twilight at the Betty & Bobby Allison Sports Complex on Sept. 13, finishing first in a field of 56 runners. The Springfield-Kickapoo product completed the eight-kilometer race in 25:22.16 and won by more than seven seconds. His first place finish helped the Panthers to a team win in the event and marked the second-straight first place finish for Drury to start the season.
The weekly honor is the first in Harris’ career and he is the first Drury runner to win the award since Collin Emmert won it on Oct. 19, 2022.
