COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women’s basketball senior Grace Slaughter has been named to the All-SEC Second Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Slaughter was selected for the honor by the league’s 16 head coaches.
“Grace is a true Tiger,” Mizzou head coach Kellie Harper said at SEC Tipoff ‘27 last week. “She loves Mizzou. Loves all the traditions that come with our university. She’s been great to coach. One of the exciting things as her coach to watch has been her comfort level and where she’s at now as opposed to this team last year. You can only get that by experience.”
Slaughter headlines the Tigers’ roster and returns for her fourth season after ranking 33rd in the country and sixth in the SEC at 18.7 points per game a year ago.
The Grain Valley, Missouri native begins the season 12th on the program’s all-time scoring list. She joined the 1,000-point club last year in a career-high 33-point performance against Northwestern.
Slaughter was named to the 2025-26 Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year preseason and midseason award watch lists.
Slaughter will be back in action when Mizzou opens the season against Howard at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Mizzou Arena.
