In the largest non-baseball event in Hammons Field history, Adam Wainwright will be performing at a concert later this year.
The concert is scheduled for Friday, May 31, in partnership with the Hatch Foundation and Springfield Cardinals.
It is the first standalone concert in the ballpark’s history, as well, with the City of Springfield now the owner of Hammons Field.
After an 18-year career in St. Louis, culminating as one of the best pitcher in Cardinals history, Wainwright has now launched into a career as a country music singer-songwriter.
He has already released a full-length album, “Hey Y’all”, and recently performed at the world famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
General Public Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, April 12, starting at $25.50.
The concert will begin at 7:05pm, with gates opening at the ballpark at 6:05pm.
