SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury baseball placed a pair of standouts on the American Baseball Coaches Association’s (ABCA) 2026 All-Region teams Wednesday, as Connor Bain was tabbed for First-Team All-Midwest Region honors, and Jackson Crider earned his second consecutive all-region selection with a second-team citation.
Bain, who also earned First-Team All-Region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) earlier this month, was a First-Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection this spring after turning in one of the top all-around performances in the circuit. He led the Panthers with a career-best .406 batting average, 10 home runs and a school-record 68 RBIs in 52 contests. He hit .444 in GLVC play while totaling 25 multi-hit games and 17 multi-RBI performances on the year.
The senior from Troy, Ill., concluded his Drury career ranked among the Panthers’ all-time leaders in walks (2nd), runs scored (3rd), steals (4th), hits (5th), doubles (5th), and home runs (5th).
Crider is a repeat All-Midwest Region choice of the ABCA after earning first-team honors from the organization in 2025. The redshirt sophomore batted .395 with nine home runs and 54 RBIs in 53 games this season. Crider, who also earned second-team All-Midwest recognition from the D2CCA this spring, led the conference in hit by pitches (28) and ranked sixth among all GLVC hitters in on-base percentage (.506) and runs scored (64).
The San Antonio native owns the top Drury career marks for batting (.414), OBP (.527) and slugging (.633) and ranks fifth with his 20 home runs as a Panther. He put together a 15-game hit streak earlier this season and led the club with 18 multi-RBI performances.
The GLVC earned 16 of the 34 All-Midwest Region selections, including Player of the Year Austin Bode of Indianapolis.
For the 29th consecutive year, the ABCA and Rawlings Sporting Goods will recognize the top players in amateur baseball through the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region, All-America, and Gold Glove teams across all divisions, along with the National Pitchers and Position Players of the Year.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America teams will be announced on Friday (May 29). Only first-team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced on June 17, while the 2026 ABCA NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive teams will be released on June 18.
Postseason award teams and individual honors are selected by each division’s All-America and Coach of the Year Committee, made up of ABCA member coaches. First introduced in 1949, the ABCA All-America program now spans nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III; NAIA; NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III; the Pacific Association Division; and high school. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were added at the collegiate and high school levels in 2007.
Drury concluded the 2026 season with a 32-21 overall record, as well as a 22-10 GLVC mark to tie for third place in the conference’s regular-season standings.
