The 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Championship Tournament will be held at Mtn. Dew Park in Marion, Illinois, May 6-9. The tournament will mark the 46th GLVC Baseball Championship and the fourth-straight year it will be held in this venue.
Eight teams will vie for the GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the Conference at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
This year’s event will use a new format with the top two seeds earning byes until the double elimination tournament starts. On day one, seed 5 will play seed 8 at 9 a.m. with seed 6 facing seed 7 at 12:30 p.m., with both losers getting eliminated. The winner of the 5/8 matchup will play the four seed at 4 p.m., and the winner of the 6/7 matchup will play the three seed at 7:30 p.m, with the loser getting eliminated.
On day two, the No.1 seed will play the winner of the day one 4 p.m. game at 11 a.m., and the No. 2 seed will play the winner of the day one 7:30 p.m. game at 2:30 p.m. with the two losers facing off at 6:30 p.m..
On day three, the winners of the day two games will face off at 2 p.m. for a spot in the championship game, with the loser facing the winner of the day two 6:30 p.m. game in an elimination game at 5:30 p.m.
On day four, the two remaining teams will meet for the championship, with the potential of another contest if the losing team only has one loss.
In 2025, Missouri S&T earned its first GLVC Championship in program history, as they went 5-1 and ultimately defeated Illinois Springfield 11-1 in the final game.
Indianapolis holds the GLVC record with six league titles, followed by Lewis (5), Quincy (5), Drury (3), Maryville (1), UIS (1), Missouri-St. Louis (1), and Missouri S&T (1). Former Conference members Northern Kentucky (5), Saint Joseph’s (5), Southern Indiana (4), Bellarmine (3), SIU Edwardsville (2), Lindenwood (1), and UW-Parkside (1) have each claimed a Conference title.
