On the Pitch

  • Missouri State returns home to face Evansville on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6:00 p.m.
  • The Bears will have not played a home game since Sept. 1.
  • Evansville leads the series 15-12-8 all-time. When the two teams met last season, the Bears took home a 3-0 victory at Evansville. The last Purple Aces win in the series came on 10/29/2015.
  • Missouri State began its final run in the Missouri Valley Conference with back-to-back wins. The Bears are one of four MVC teams to start MVC play undefeated. Belmont and MoState are both 2-0 in conference play and Indiana State and UIC are both 1-0.
  • MoState picked up its first win of MVC play with a 3-1 victory over Drake. Lillie Rasmussen and Grace O’Keefe both made their first goals of the 2024 season against Drake. Reilly Heman made her third.
  • At UNI, MoState only needed one goal to secure the win. Julia Kristensen got her second game-winning goal in the 24th minute of play. She is tied for 48th in the country and first in the MVC in game-winners.
  • Heman and Kristensen lead the team with three goals each. G. O’Keefe, Rasmussen and Eydis Helgadottir all have one goal.
  • Goalkeeper Camielle Day is getting closer and closer to another record. With the shutout against UNI, Day has 23 clean sheets. Day is second in the MVC and tied for 31st in the country in total shutouts.
  • MoState was picked to finish first in the MVC preseason poll for the second year in a row with seven first place votes and 116 points.
