University of Missouri women’s golf opened play for the Johnie Imes Invitational Monday, placing fourth of 13 teams in tough conditions.
Junior Melanie Walker posted a one-over 73, including three birdies to finish tied for eighth after 18.
Sophomore Fleur van Beek also carded a one-over 73 to finish day one in the top-10 for the second-straight tournament.
As a team, the Tigers are fourth of 13 schools at +11 with Florida Gulf Coast leading at -1.
After a four-hour rain delay, teams only completed 18 holes of play on the first day.
Teams will conclude a now 36-hole tournament Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
