Baseline Knowledge
- The Missouri State tennis team will open its fall season with a trip to the UCA Fall Tournament starting on Friday, Sept. 20 and ending on Saturday, Sept. 21.
- Over the course of the two-day tournament, the Bears will face players from frequent non-conference opponents Central Arkansas and Kansas City. The tournament will also feature 2024 MVC Champions Murray State and future Conference USA opponent Sam Houston.
- The Bears return five student-athletes and welcome four more: two transfers and two freshmen.
- 2024 All-MVC first team selection Sandra Lukacova and 2024 All-MVC second team selection Nicole Ross are among the returning players.
- Last season, the Bears finished with a record of 13-10 for their best record since 2003. MoState went 8-1 at home for the first time since 2019.
- Austin Hale was announced as the head coach of the Bears on Aug. 21. Hale is the 12th head coach in program history after founding the men’s and women’s tennis teams at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan.
