Panthers getting votes for top 25

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Drury men’s soccer team is off to a 3-0-1 and is receiving votes this week in the NCAA-II coaches’ poll.

The Panthers opened the season with a 2-2 tie against Oklahoma Christian and have won three straight since. The winning streak included a 2-1 win at Newman, a team also receiving votes in the top 25. Drury’s 3-0-1 start is their best record through four games since 2016.

Franklin Pierce is ranked number one in this week’s poll with Lynn ranked second and California State – Los Angeles is third. One other GLVC team is in the top 25 as McKendree is ranked number seven.

The Panthers return to action on Friday with a 7:30 pm game at Lincoln. Drury is back at home on Sunday when they host Missouri S&T at 2:30 pm at Harrison Stadium.
