COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri swimming and diving head coach Andrew Grevers has announced the addition of Brandon Loschiavo as the Tigers’ assistant diving coach for the 2024-25 season.
A two-time Olympic qualifier and former NCAA champion in the 10-Meter Platform dive, Loschiavo comes to Columbia with over three years of coaching experience, specializing in crafting core programs and enhancing athlete performance in and out of the pool. He most recently served as a volunteer assistant coach for his alma mater, Purdue University.
“Brandon brings an incredible array of experience to the diving-well,” Mizzou Head Diving Coach Kyle Bogner stated. “Not only is his athletic experience relevant, but Brandon has been a student of the sport for many years. From strength and conditioning, to nutrition and mental performance, he has a holistic approach and is able to look at every aspect of what it takes to be a champion and apply it to a training environment. We are thrilled to have Brandon here at the Zou!”
A native of Huntington Beach, California, Loschiavo qualified in the 10-meter for each of the last two Olympic Games. He finished 11th at the 2020 Tokyo Games, then placed 17th at this summer’s Paris Games.
Loschiavo, who graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, won the 2021 NCAA individual title in the platform dive. He was a three-time Big Ten champion in the event, earning Purdue’s Male Athlete of the Year award and the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2021.
Upon graduating, Loschiavo spent two years as a club diving coach in the greater Los Angeles area, first with Trojan Dive Club before joining the Mission Viejo Nadadores.
