SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury senior Kayli Duncan was named the Molton Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week in volleyball for her performance in four matches last week.
Duncan averaged 1.71 blocks per set in four matches last week as the Panthers went 3-1. The Wichita, Kansas, native had 15 solo blocks in 15 sets last week and added 41 kills, five digs and one assist. Duncan set a program record with 9 solo blocks and one block assist on Sept. 12 against seventh ranked Southwest Minnesota State.
She is the first Drury volleyball player to win a conference weekly award since Stormi Tadlock won the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor on Oct. 24, 2022. Duncan is the first Drury player to win Defensive Player of the Week in the conference since Juliana Squire won the award on Oct. 25, 2021.
The Panthers are off to a 6-2 start and play again on Friday against 17th ranked Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
