After the first day of competition for the 2024-25 campaign, four Tigers find themselves in the top 10 at the Golfweek “Put Me In Coach” Invitational.

Junior Virgilio Paz leads the Tigers and is in third place overall by shooting a one-under 139 through two rounds. After carding a 71 in the opening round, Paz finished with a two-under 68 in round two, featuring four birdies to go against just two bogeys. Paz enters the final round of play just one shot off the top of the leaderboard.

Overall, three additional Tigers sit among the top 10 of the 30-player field. Trevor Mierl is sixth overall at +1 (70-71) and is followed by a pair of rookies making their collegiate debut. Jakob Hansen is eighth at +2 (73-69), while Trent Mierl is one shot back at +3 (72-71).

The final round of play is set for Monday morning with an 8 a.m. CT tee time.
