COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri swimming and diving alum Jack Dahlgren has been named to the 2024-25 U.S. National Team, as announced by the sport’s governing body. This is Dahlgren’s second year on the national squad after being selected for the 2023-24 team.
In June, Dahlgren competed at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials earning a sixth-place finish in the final round of the men’s 200-meter butterfly with a time of 1:56.63. He also swam a personal best of 1:55.65 in the semifinal round of the 200-meter butterfly.
Dahlgren earned a second-place finish in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 1:55.79 at the Speedo Summer Championships in July.
A four-time All-American, Dahlgren placed fifth in the 200 back and seventh 100 back at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
Additionally, the decorated Tiger took second in the 200 free, third in the 200 back and finished seventh in the 100 back at the 2023 SEC Championships.
Dahlgren served as a captain and was the flag bearer for Team USA at the 2023 World University Games in Chengdu, China.
The U.S. National Team is comprised of the six athletes with the fastest times in each Individual Olympic Event, from the combined results of a USA Swimming sanctioned competition, an AQUA approved competition, or an international competition between January 2024 through September 2024 to which USA Swimming sent a team.
