COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri soccer travels to Coral Gables, Fla. to face off against Miami at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday. The contest is available to be streamed live on ACCNX.
The Tigers are coming off a loss to No. 23 Saint Louis on Sunday night. The Tigers outshot the nationally ranked opponent 11 to 10.
Senior midfielder Leah Selm recorded three shots for the Tigers, marking the first time Selm led the team in shots in a game.
Redshirt junior goalkeeper Bella Hollenback recorded five saves against the Billikens, the most saves she has had in a game this season.
Hollenback has started in 17 consecutive games since last season, and has recorded 11 saves this season.
Freshmen Emily Derucki and Landis Canada have made early strides in their collegiate career, as Derucki has totaled 186 minutes this season and Canada has started in all contests.
Thursday will be the third time in history Mizzou and Miami will compete, the last time being in 2021. Both previous matchups have ended in a Mizzou victory.
Miami is 0-2-1 on the season after falling to Princeton on Saturday. The Hurricanes ended last season 3-10-4, going 2-7-1 in conference opponents.
This is head coach Ken Masuhr’s first year at Miami, after coming from Vanderbilt as associate head coach for the last six years.
Miami freshman forward Giovani Canali has recorded 157 minutes and eight shots so far in her rookie season. She has also added the only goal for the Hurricanes so far this season.
