ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2024-25 women’s basketball conference schedules Thursday afternoon (Sept. 26) with each team set to play a 20-game league schedule.
For the third consecutive season following the league’s expansion to 12 teams, Valley squads will play 10 home and 10 road games while facing two teams just once during the regular season.
In 2024-25, the Lady Bears will not face UIC at home and will not travel to Valparaiso.
Missouri State will kick off its final run through the MVC with a trip to UIC on Dec. 29 before flipping the calendar to 2025.
The Lady Bears will then play eight games in January, featuring five home games and three road contests. MSU will welcome Belmont (Jan. 2), Murray State (Jan. 4), Southern Illinois (Jan. 12), Drake (Jan. 24) and Northern Iowa (Jan. 26) to Great Southern Bank Arena. In return, Missouri State will travel to Evansville (Jan. 17), Indiana State (Jan. 19) and Bradley (Jan. 31) to close out the January slate.
February features three home games for the Lady Bears, including visits from Indiana State (Feb. 7), Evansville (Feb. 9) and Valparaiso (Feb. 16). The month also has MSU hitting the road for five games with trips to Illinois State (Feb. 2), Southern Illinois (Feb. 13), Northern Iowa (Feb. 20), Drake (Feb. 22) and Murray State (Feb. 27).
Missouri State will close out its road slate at Belmont (March 1), before ending the regular season with two home games against Illinois State (March 6) and Bradley (March 8).
The 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament is set for March 13-16 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

Head coach Beth Cunningham and the Lady Bears are coming off a 23-10 season that saw MSU earn a bid into the inaugural Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament, marking the program’s seventh consecutive 20-win season and ninth straight postseason appearance. Missouri State returns six players from a season ago, including MVC Newcomer of the Year and All-MVC Second Team member Lacy Stokes, while adding a group of eight newcomers that is comprised of six transfers and two freshmen.
