List of 186 MSU Student-Athletes Recognized on Valley Honor Roll

ST. LOUIS – A group of 186 current and former Missouri State student-athletes are among an elite crop of Missouri Valley Conference competitors announced Sept. 26 to the 2022-23 MVC Honor Roll.
 
The lists do not include Missouri State student-athletes in the sports of beach volleyball, football or men’s swimming, which compete in other leagues.
 
Conference-wide, 133 student-athletes earned the league’s highest academic achievement by capturing the Missouri Valley Conference Board of Directors Academic Excellence, including 14 from Missouri State: Maddie Augustine (women’s soccer), Jordan Boyce (women’s swimming & diving), Jack Denton (men’s soccer), Carly Hendrickson (women’s track & field), Kyli Jackson (women’s soccer), Jade Loftness (women’s soccer), Ingrid Perkins (women’s soccer), Alyson Piskulic (women’s tennis), Ashley Rolewicz (women’s track & field), Giacomo Sala (men’s soccer), Karli Sewell (women’s swimming & diving), Kat Taylor (softball), Jordan Wenner (women’s swimming & diving), Kian Yari (men’s soccer).
 
The Board of Directors Academic Excellence requires a minimum 3.8 cumulative grade point average (through the spring 2023 semester), participation in athletics a minimum of two years, and the student-athlete must be within 18 hours of graduation.
 

 
Likewise, 74 Bears earned the prestigious Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award. There were a total of 1,014 student-athletes in the MVC who earned this honor which requires a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the previous two semesters, a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average, and participation in athletics a minimum of two years.

Finally, the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll was also announced with 186 Missouri State student-athletes earning accolades for classroom excellence. To qualify for the Valley Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have recorded a minimum 3.2 grade point average for a specified term (fall 2022 and spring 2023), must have been a member of an athletics team, and must have been enrolled full time during the term they earned the honor.
