Early goal powers Lincoln to win over Panthers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.– Lincoln scored three minutes into the game on their way to a 7-0 win over Drury on Friday night in Jefferson City, Missouri.
 
The loss was Drury’s first of the season and put their record at 3-1-1 and 1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Blue Tigers, playing in their first season in the GLVC, improved to 2-1-1 and 1-1 in the league.
 
Christopher Hull got Lincoln on the board 3:06 into the game and he added an assist during to finish with three points. Kevon Maitland and Ackeem Mullings had two goals each for the Blue Tigers.
 
Lucas Scholfield led Drury with two shots as the Panthers were shut out for the first time this season.
 
Drury is back at home on Sunday when they host Missouri S&T for a 2:30 pm game at Harrison Stadium in Springfield.
