Drury remains ranked number two in NCAA-II

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers remain ranked number two in this week’s  NCAA-II women’s basketball coaches’ poll. This week marks the seventh-straight week Drury has been ranked second.
 
The top three tops in the national poll stayed the same as the previous week. Ashland (27-0), the only team to have beaten the Lady Panthers this season, received all 23 first-place votes and is still ranked number one. Tampa (25-1) is ranked third, Glenville State (24-2) moves up to fourth, and Grand Valley State (24-2) moves to number five.
 
Drury is 25-1, 18-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and has won 21 straight games. The week’s poll marks the 149th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is also their 87th straight week to be ranked in the top 10.
 
Drury returns to action on Thursday when they host Illinois Springfield. Tipoff is at 5:45 pm in the O’Reilly Family Event Center.
