Panthers indoor track & field competes at Arkansas Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Drury indoor track & field competed in the first of two competitions this weekend at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville on Friday. The meet was comprised almost entirely of Division I programs.
 
Highlights

  • Ashley Childers was 15th out of 58 in the preliminary heats of the 200-meter dash (25.17)
  • Bradley Weimer finished 21st among 43 runners in the mile (5:01.53)
  • Luz Olivera made her Drury debut in 2023, placing 12th out of 23 in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:07.60
  • Margeaux Shelton posted a 1.60-meter high jump to tie for 11th out of 19
  • Cole Sutton was 43rd in the men’s mile (4:23.40)
  • James Sly was 21st out of 39 in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:46.79

 
The Panthers will have another group of track & field athletes competing on Saturday in the Redhawks Open at Southeast Missouri State.
