Panthers hit the road Friday, back at Harrison on Sunday
Drury enters their second week of Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play with a match on the road against Lincoln before coming home to face off with Missouri S&T.

The Panthers sit at 3-0-2 on the season with their three most recent games resulting in two ties and a win against Missouri-St. Louis. Earlier this week, the GLVC office named Leah McDonald as her first career athlete of the week. McDonald scored two goals last week, against Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis. Drury had a non-conference game on the road on Wednesday against Emporia State that resulted in a 1-1 tie. Ines Villanueva Casal scored on a penalty kick against the Hornets.

On Friday, Drury travels to Jefferson City to face off with the GLVC’s newest member, Lincoln. The Blue Tigers are 4-1 on the season with their only loss coming to Missouri S&T on September 15. The Panthers and Blue Tigers have yet to play each other in either program’s history. Lincoln was picked to finish last in the conference in the preseason coaches poll.

Sunday, the Panthers return to Harrison Stadium to face off with Missouri S&T. The Miners are 1-2 on their season with their losses coming to Pittsburg State and Delta State. In the preseason, Missouri S&T was selected to finish tenth in the GLVC poll. The Panthers hold the all-time record against the Miners 10-2-6 with the two most recent matches coming in tie fashion.

After this week, Drury will hit the road to play McKendree (Sept. 27) and Maryville (Sept. 29).
