Clayton Kaiser, Alex Wiseman named men’s golf All-American Scholars

 SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–  Drury men’s golfers Clayton Kaiser and Alexman were named Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
 
Clayton Kaiser completed his senior year and was a Management and Marketing major. The Monett, Missouri, native played in nine tournaments and had Drury’s second-best scoring average, posting a 75.2 per round score. Kaiser finished third overall at the Lewis Invitational, shooting one-over-par for the tournament. Kaiser was an Academic All-GLVC selection and was named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
 
Alex Wiseman was a sophomore last year and the Williamsville, Missouri, native averaged 75.4. The product of Poplar Bluff High School had a low of 70 (two-under-par) at the Music City Invitational and had a top-10 finish when he tied for 9th at the Lewis Invitational. Earlier this summer, he was named Academic All-GLVC.
 
Kaiser and Wiseman helped the Panthers to a fifth place finish at the GLVC Championships and a tournament win during the 2024 season.
