Clayton Kaiser, Abby Howard, and Isabelle Thrall named to Academic All-District At-Large Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–  Drury had one men’s golfer and two from their women’s golf team named to the Academic All-District At-Large team by the College Sports Communicators. Clayton Kaiser from the Drury men’s golf team was named to the Academic All-District team, while Abby Howard and Isabella Thrall from the DU women’s golf team were selected to the squad. 
 
Those selected for the Academic All-District team were chosen for their accomplishments in their sport in addition to their work in the classroom. Recipients needed to have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grand point average. The At-Large team members were student-athletes from field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, water polo, women’s bowling, fencing, rifle, women’s crew/rowing, skiing, golf, gymnastics, men’s volleyball, wrestling, and women’s beach volleyball.
 
Clayton Kaiser completed his senior year and was a Management and Marketing major. The Monett, Missouri, native played in nine tournaments and had Drury’s second-best scoring average, posting a 75.2 per round score. Kaiser finished third overall at the Lewis Invitational, shooting one-over-par for the tournament.
 
Abby Howard finished her senior season on the Drury women’s golf team and was an Exercise Physiology major. From Liberty, Missouri, Howard played in nine tournaments and finished a season-best ninth at the Bill Crabtree Invitational in Owensboro, Kentucky.
 
Isabelle Thrall played in 10 tournaments during her junior season. Majoring in Accounting and Criminology, Thrall posted Drury’s second-best per-round scoring average. The Wentzville, Missouri, native finished 11^th overall in the Drury Invitational in her best tournament finish of the year and led the squad in three events.
 
The Drury men’s team finished fifth at the GLVC Championship, while the DU women’s squad came in third in 2024.
