Bears Announce 2024 Volleyball Schedule

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State’s 2024 volleyball schedule includes 13 home matches at Hammons Student Center and 30 in all in year five under head coach Steven McRoberts.

The season opens at UNC Greensboro’s tournament Aug. 30-31 with matches against USC Upstate, Robert Morris and the host Spartans.

The Bears make their home debut on Sept. 4 against Tulsa, where McRoberts served as head coach from 2011-13, then visit UT Martin’s tournament for matches with the Skyhawks, North Alabama and Arkansas-Pine Bluff Sept. 6-7.

The annual Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational (Sept. 12-14) will have a Missouri State flavor as Saint Louis, UT Arlington and Weber State visit Springfield. SLU is coached by former Bear Andrea Beaty, while Weber State head coach Jeremiah Larsen was an MSU assistant in 2010.

Missouri State’s fourth tournament is a hybrid meet in Carbondale, Ill., that includes the Missouri Valley Conference opener with Southern Illinois (Sept. 19) as well as matches with SEMO and SIUE the following two days.

The Bears’ final season in the MVC includes home-and-home series with SIU, Drake, UNI, Bradley, Illinois State, UIC and Valparaiso. MoState will play single matches at Indiana State and Evansville and home contests with Murray State and Belmont.

The MVC Tournament takes place Nov. 23-26 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Missouri State will also play a home exhibition match against Arkansas on Aug. 22 and an alumni match at home on Aug. 24.
