Weber, Scott Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Mitch Weber and Sterling Scott punched tickets to the title meet at NCAA West Round One on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Weber advanced with a fifth place finish in the discus following a mark of 59.23m (194-4) while Scott leaped a personal best distance of 15.77m (51-9) to finish 11th in the triple jump. The mark ranks seventh best in program history.

With four Tigers in the event, Tarique George claimed 18th with a toss of 55.59m (182-4) while Skylar Coffey (53.19m / 174-6) and Rece Rowan (52.62m / 172-8) finished 32nd and 34th respectively. 

UP NEXT

Missouri will close out NCAA Round One on Saturday as Ames Burton (discus – 1 p.m.) and Euphenie Andre (triple jump – 6 p.m.) will look to earn trips to the championship meet.
