Skylar Ciccolini Advances to NCAA Championships in the Javelin

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Skylar Ciccolini advanced to the title meet in the javelin during day two of NCAA Round One qualifying on Thursday in Fayettville, Ark.

Ciccolini claimed 11th in the javelin with a mark of 51.35m (168-5). Also competing in the event, Ava Curry took 19th a toss of 48.88m (160-4) while Erin Zimmerman finished 14th with a mark of 49.92m (163-9).

Kelsey Schweizer advanced to Saturday’s 800m quarterfinals with a time of 2:07.29. In other results, Petra Gombas claimed 33rd in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.74m (182-10), Isabella Sokolova took 38th in the long jump with a leap of 6.02m (19-9), Emily Offenheiser finished 41st in the shot put with a mark of 15.49m (50-10).

Jenna Swartz and Mikayla Reed rounded out the day of competing in the 10k finishing 28th (35:17.44) and 34th (35:43.26), respectively.

UP NEXT

The Missouri men will be back in action on Friday beginning with four Tigers in the discus at 1 p.m.
