Keeping Track of the Bears

  • The Missouri State track and field team heads to Kansas State this weekend to compete in the Ward Haylett Invitational on Friday. Field events are scheduled to begin at noon and running events at 5:30 p.m.
  • Only five teams will compete in the invitational. Could County, Wichita State, Missouri and Kansas State will make up the field of competitors.
  • The Bears are up two spots to 26th in the USTFCCCA regional rankings. In the conference ranking, they remain in eighth place.
  • Missouri State has top-five rankings in the conference in five events.
    • 400-Meter Hurdles – No. 4 Magdalena Burdova (1:01.54 | 4/18/24)
    • 4×100-Meter Relay – No. 3 Brianna Howard, Olivia Rogers, Kayleigh Jenkins, Alyssa Ball (45.70 | 4/18/24)
    • 4×400-Meter Relay – No. 4 Olivia Rogers, Seleena Morris, Victory Ifah, Whitney Farrington (3:47.76 | 4/18/24)
    • Triple Jump – No. 3 Brooke Jenkins (11.75m | 4/12/24)
    • Javelin – No. 3 Cheyenne White (43.22m | 3/22/24)
  • Last weekend, the Bears set 17 personal records at the John McDonnell Invitational at Arkansas.
  • Brooke Jenkins had the Bears’ highest finish with a second-place finish in the triple jump with an attempt of 11.49m. Margo Nea was the only other podium finish with a third-place result in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:12.23.
