Drury softball ranked 9th in opening NCAA-II Midwest Region poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Drury softball is ranked 9th in the opening 2024 NCAA-II Midwest Regional rankings.

Eight teams will be selected to the NCAA-II Midwest Regional played on May 9-11. In the field of ten, the other ranked GLVC teams are top seeded Indianapolis and fourth ranked Lewis. The rest of the top ten includes: Trevecca Nazarene, Ohio Dominican, Hillsdale, Grand Valley State, Purdue Northwest, Saginaw Valley, and Northwood,

The Panthers are currently 27-20 on the season and have a record of 26-20 in the region. Drury is also third in the GLVC with a record of 15-7.

Drury is playing a doubleheader against McKendree in Lebanon, Illinois today at 1 pm. The Panthers will then travel to Missouri-St. Louis for the final two games of the regular season on Saturday, with first pitch coming at noon.
