Keeping Track of the Bears
- The Missouri State track and field team are heading to Arkansas for the John McDonnell Invitational on Friday. Field events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and running events at 3:30 p.m.
- The meet begins on Thursday, but no Bears will compete until Friday.
- Thirty-two Bears will compete in the meet against some of the top-ranked individuals in the country. Host Arkansas was ranked No. 3 by the USTFCCA. Fellow MVC competitor Murray State will also compete in the meet.
- The Bears moved up a spot in the regional rankings to 28th in the Midwest. They remain eighth in the conference.
- MoState has several top five performances in the conference.
- 200-Meter Dash – No. 4 Olivia Rogers (24.23 | 3/22/24)
- 400-Meter Hurdles – No. 5 Meghan Halstead (1:02.37 | 3/22/24)
- 4×400-Meter Relay – No. 4 Olivia Rogers, Seleena Morris, Victory Ifah, Whitney Farrington (3:47.83 | 3/29/24)
- Triple Jump – No. 3 Brooke Jenkins (11.75m | 4/12/24)
- Javelin – No. 3 Cheyenne White (43.22m | 3/22/24)
- Last weekend the Bears traveled to Oklahoma for the John Jacobs College Invitational. While there, they added three more wins to their season tally to 16.
- Mary Margaret Harris won the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:42.78 and Margo Nea won the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:26.60. Riley Bryan won the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:39.37. This is her second 5000-meter run win this season.
- MoState had two second-place finishes and three third-place finishes with 23 personal records.
