Paradise Jam Announces Lineup for 2024 Women’s Basketball Tournaments

ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The annual U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam women’s basketball tournament has announced the fields for the 25th edition of the event, which includes Missouri State, and will take place from Nov. 28-30 at the University of Virgin Islands Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center.
 
The women’s event is separated into two round-robin tournaments with Missouri State taking part in the Reef Tournament, which occupies the evening time slots. The Reef Tournament also includes: Florida State, Gonzaga and Texas Tech.
 
The Lady Bears will open their stay at the tournament on Thursday, Nov. 28 with a Thanksgiving Day contest against Gonzaga. Missouri State will then face Florida State on Friday, Nov. 29, before closing out the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 30 against Texas Tech. All three of MSU’s games at the tournament are set to tip off at 4:30 p.m. CT and all games will be streamed on a national broadcasting platform.
 
Gonzaga owned a 32-4 overall record and a perfect 16-0 record in the West Coast Conference in 2023-24 as the Bulldogs advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles of Florida State also made the NCAA Tournament field last season with a 23-11 overall record and a 12-6 ledger in Atlantic Coast Conference action. In 2023-24, Texas Tech owned a 17-16 overall record and went 5-13 in Big 12 play as the Lady Raiders did not make a postseason appearance.
