SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women’s basketball head coach Beth Cunningham announced today the signing of in-state transfer Sarah Linthacum. Linthacum has one year of eligibility remaining.

Linthacum spent the last three seasons at the University of Missouri. Last season as a junior, she appeared in 23 games, averaging 4.5 minutes per game while grabbing 25 rebounds on the season. Her most successful campaign came in her sophomore season as she appeared in 30 games and made six starts. The 6-3 forward averaged 1.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 55 percent from the field on the year. As a freshman, she saw action in 15 games (5.3 minutes/game), scoring 11 points and grabbing 14 rebounds on the season.

A native of Jefferson City, Mo., Linthacum attended Jefferson City High where she was a three-time all-district honoree and two-time all-state selection for the Jays.

Cunningham on Linthacum:
“Sarah is a skilled post player with size who can run the floor, rebound and finish around the rim. She has high energy, great character and is going to be a great addition to our program, both on the court and in our community. We are excited to add her to our Lady Bear family.”
