Lady Bears Ink Transfer Cady Pauley

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women’s basketball head coach Beth Cunningham announced today the signing of transfer Cady Pauley. Pauley has two years of eligibility remaining.
 
Pauley, a 5-11 guard from Milan, Mo., spent the last two seasons at the University of Virginia under former Missouri State head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton. Out of high school, Pauley was originally a member of the Lady Bears’ 2022 signing class.
 
As a sophomore at UVA, Pauley appeared in 20 games, averaging 2.9 points per game and shooting 31 percent from the field. In her freshman campaign for the Cavaliers, Pauley made 24 appearances, averaging 3.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. She also knocked down 22 three-point field goals as a freshman.
 
The Missouri native attended Milan High School where she was a three-sport athlete as a member of the basketball, softball and track & field teams. At Milan, she scored 3,074 career points which ranks eighth all-time in Missouri girl’s basketball history, and she was a four-time unanimous All-Conference selection and a four-time first-team All-District honoree. Pauley was also a two-time Class 3A All-State selection and was named a McDonald’s All-America nominee. As a senior, she averaged 33.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Additionally, she was a state champion in shot put, a two-time runner up in discuss and was a two-time all-state honoree in softball.
