Men’s Golf Hosts Tiger Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday

University of Missouri men’s golf is set to host the Tiger Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, welcoming 17 additional schools to Columbia for the tournament at The Club and Old Hawthorne.

TOURNAMENT INFO
The tournament tees off on Monday morning with a 8 a.m. shotgun start. The schools are set for two rounds and 36 holes on the opening day of action before wrapping up with an additional 18 holes on Tuesday, starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Club at Old Hawthorne is set to host the tournament with the par 71 course measuring 7,221 yards long. Admission is free to the tournament.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Joining the No. 37 Tigers on the course includes one school ranked in the top 50 in No. 36 Chattanooga, in addition to Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Lindenwood, Lipscomb, Louisiana Monroe, Minnesota, Rutgers, San Francisco, South Carolina, South Dakota State, Stetson, Saint Mary’s, UAB and Wyoming.

TIGERS AT HOME TOURNAMENT
The seventh version of the Tiger Collegiate Invitational, Mizzou has won four of the previous six championships on its home course (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022).

In 2023, the Tigers posted a team score of -40, tying the second-best mark in tournament history – and placed second in the tournament overall. Charlie Crockett of MU finished tied second individually with 18-under, along with five Tigers placing in the top 25 overall, including current student-athletes Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson and Jack Lundin.

SENIOR DAY
With it being the final tournament of the 2023-24 regular season, it also marks the final time for Charlie Crockett and Jack Lundin to play in CoMo at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

Both players are in their third season at Mizzou. Crockett owns a 71.29 stroke average during 87 rounds of play as a Tiger, highlighted by a 2022-23 campaign where he earned PING All-Region Central Team and second-team All-SEC accolades. Lundin owns a 70.79 stroke average in 91 rounds of action, leading the way in 2023-24 as the nation’s No. 21 ranked golfer – posting a 69.56 stroke average.
