Panthers compete in 16th Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic

PITTSBURG, Kan.— Nolan Moeller won the 800 meter run and Ashley Childers set a new school mark in the 200 meter dash for Drury at the 16th Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic hosted by Pittsburg State on Saturday in Pittsburg, Kansas.
 
Highlights

  • Nolan Moeller finished first in the 800 meter run. The sophomore from Ozark, Missouri, posted a winning time of 1:55.20. William Kershaw came in seventh in the event (1:57.19) and Cole Sutton was 10th (1:57.69)
  • Ashley Childers broke her own school record in the 200 meter dash and finished fourth with a time of 24.09
  • Jolie McClellan came in eighth in the javelin with a throw of 40.35 meters
  • Georgi Carolus was 10th in the women’s 800 meter runs (2:25.58)

 
Drury’s track & field teams compete again on April 12 when they travel to Warrensburg, Missouri, for the Mule Relays hosted by Central Missouri.
