Lady Bears Add Transfer Zoe Stewart

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women’s basketball head coach Beth Cunningham announced today the signing of transfer Zoe Stewart. Stewart has three years of eligibility remaining.

Stewart, a 5-10 guard, makes her way to Springfield after spending the last two seasons at Murray State University.

As a redshirt freshman for the Racers in 2023-24, Stewart appeared in 31 of 32 games and averaged 8.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 20.3 minutes per game. She also shot 39 percent from the field, 28 percent from three-point range and 71 percent from the free throw line. She also collected one Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week award in her first season of action.

Stewart hails from Terre Haute, Ind., where she attended and played basketball at Terre Haute North High School. She holds the school’s all-time career, season and single-game scoring records and she joined the 1,000-point club as a junior, becoming just the fifth girl’s player in school history to reach the milestone. As a senior at Terre Haute North, Stewart averaged 24.8 points per game and became the first female player from the school to be selected to the Indiana All-Star Team in 2022.

Cunningham on Stewart:
“Zoe is a dynamic guard that brings size and athleticism to her position.  Her versatility fits our style of play on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.  She can score, but will impact us defensively in her ability to guard multiple positions.  The energy, passion, and competitiveness Zoe plays with is contagious.  We are so excited to have her join our Lady Bear program.”
