Spring Football Culminates with Open Scrimmage

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State head football coach Ryan Beard and his staff will conclude spring drills this week, culminating camp with an open intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, April 6.

The free scrimmage at Robert W. Plaster Stadium will commence at approximately 10:30 a.m. Open seating will be available on the stadium’s lower-west side with restrooms available on that level.

“We have been encouraged with the progress and growth of our football team this spring,” said Beard. “The new coaches and players have done a nice job of coming in and making immediate contributions. I’m excited to finish the spring strong and begin roster evaluations in preparation for the fall season.”
 
Beard has 84 players in camp this spring, which includes 71 returning players, 13 newcomers and 21 returning starters.
