No. 13 Gymnastics Selected To Compete At NCAA Gainesville Regional

COLUMBIA, Mo. — No. 13 University of Missouri gymnastics will travel to Gainesville, Florida, for NCAA Regional competition to open the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championship. The Tigers will be the four seed in the region alongside No. 4 Florida (one seed), No. 5 Utah (two seed) and No. 12 Michigan State (three seed).

The nine-team field for the NCAA Gainesville Gymnastics Regional is as follows:

  • No. 4 Florida
  • No. 5 Utah
  • No. 12 Michigan State
  • No. 13 Missouri
  • No. 18 Georgia
  • No. 21 Towson
  • No. 26 Maryland
  • No. 30 Clemson
  • No. 36 Iowa State

2024 marks the ninth consecutive season that MU has qualified for NCAA Regional competition. This also marks the third straight year that the Tigers have earned a top-16 seed in the NCAA Gymnastics Championship.

Mizzou put together a banner season in 2024, as the Tigers compiled a program-record 197.420 NQS this season. The Tigers have surpassed the 197 mark in 10 of their 12 competitions this season and have set program records on three of the four apparatuses this season. At the SEC Championship on Saturday, the Tigers finished fifth with a program-best 197.275 conference championship score.

The Tigers open NCAA Regional competition with the NCAA Gainesville Regional Second Round on Friday featuring No. 4 Florida, No. 18 Georgia and the winner of the play-in meet between Clemson and Iowa State. First touch is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT, and the competition will stream on ESPN+.
