Men’s Golf Continues Campaign in South Carolina

University of Missouri men’s golf travels to Awendaw, South Carolina, to compete in the Hootie at Bulls Bay on March 24-26.

TOURNAMENT INFO
The action begins on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. CT with 18 holes of action before wrapping on Tuesday with the final round, starting at 7 a.m. CT.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Hootie tees off from Bulls Bay Golf Club, an 18-hole course in Awendaw. The par-72 course measures 7,226 yards.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The field features 14 teams, including No. 16 Eastern Tennessee State, No. 19 New Mexico, No. 33 Purdue, No. 37 LSU, Kentucky, NC State, Kent State, Furman, Charleston, West Virginia, Marquette, Toledo and host South Carolina.

2023 HOOTIE AT BULLS BAY RECAP
The Tigers placed fifth of 15 schools at the 2023 Hootie at Bulls Bay, including a fourth-place finish Alfons Bondesson. Two seasons ago the Tigers finished tied for first with -20, a program best at the event.

LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou enters the tournament coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Colleton River Collegiate. The Tigers competed against a field of 14 schools, finishing ahead of No. 46 Indiana. Jack Lundin continued his streak of top-5 finishes with second place individually.

EARNING RECOGNITION
Senior Jack Lundin was one of 15 golfers in the nation named to the 2023-2024 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel Spring Watch List. The award is one of the most prestigious in golf since 1971, being awarded to the nation’s most outstanding golfer each year. Lundin is the first Tiger to be named to the Haskins Watch List since current PGA Tour member Hayden Buckley earned the honor in 2017-18.
