Panthers move up to 13th in latest NCAA-II poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury men’s tennis team moved up to number 13 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA-II poll.
 
The Panthers are 8-2 and went 2-2 last week on a trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee, that saw them defeat 16th ranked North Georiga and Young Harris, while falling to seventh-ranked Columbus State and Tennessee Wesleyan, ranked number two nationally in the NAIA.
 
Saint Leo is ranked number one in the poll, while Barry is ranked second and Flagler is third.
 
Two other teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference are in the top 25 as Indianapolis is ranked ninth and McKendree, a team the Panthers beat on March 3, is number 12.
 
Drury also has two singles players nationally ranked. Yaroslav Sharry is 7-0 during the spring season and is ranked 23rd in NCAA-II. Marlon Wilken, 6-0 in 2024, is ranked 41st
 
The Panthers are back at home on Friday when they host Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at 1 pm at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
