Cody Bahl named GLVC Pitcher of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–  Drury left-hander Cody Bahl was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 11-17.

Bahl went 1-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in his lone start last week. The Lee’s Summit, Missouri native got the win on Friday against Missouri S&T, tossing a complete game shutout while only allowing three hits against the Miners. Bahl struck out three batters and only allowed six base runners. He has only allowed one run in his last 18 innings pitched. The junior has an ERA of 2.17 and a record of 3-1 with 29 strikeouts in 37.1 innings.

The conference’s weekly award is the first of Bahls’ career, and he is the first Drury hurler to win Pitcher of the Week honors from the league since Jack Jones won the award on March 20, 2023.

Drury is 7-10, 5-3 in the GLVC, and will face ninth-ranked Missouri Southern State on Tuesday at Mark Worley Field in Meador Park at 4 pm.
