Drury finishes 16th at Emerald Coast Collegiate tournament

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla.— Drury finished 16th at the Emerald Coast Collegiate tournament hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at the Baytowne Golf Club in Miramar Beach, Florida, on Tuesday.
 
Flagler, ranked sixth in NCAA-II, won the three-day, three round tournament that featured 17 teams. Flagler shot an even-par, 852 and won the event by 30 shots. St. Mary’s (Tex.) and seventh-ranked Central Missouri tied for second place.
 
Drury’s Taryn Overstreet shot a two-over-par 73 on Tuesday to finish tied for 29th with a 15-over-par, 228. Isabelle Thrall also finished tied for 29th (+15, 228) and shot a 78 in the first round, 73 on Monday, and 77 in Tuesday’s third round. Abby Howard came in 78th (+27, 246), and Jade Carter tied for 83rd (+32, 251). Grace Stafford tied for 87th place, posting a 37-over-par, 256.
 
Stella Jelink from Flagler shot an eight-under-par, 205, to individual medalist honors.
 
The Panthers return home and will host the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational, March 18-19 at Silo Ridge Golf Club in Bolivar.
