Swim and Dive Readies for SEC Championships

Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri Swim and Dive program is Alabama-bound for the third time this season as they take on the 2024 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala.

The five-day event is slated to take place from Tuesday, Feb. 20 to Saturday, Feb. 24 inside the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. All the action will be streamed on SEC Network+.

At last season’s SEC Championships, the Tigers men’s squad came home in sixth place (725.5 points), while the women finished 11th (418), as Jack Dahlgren claimed two medals over the weekend.

Florida has owned the men’s side of the tournament since Mizzou became members of the SEC, winning each crown since the 2012-13 season. Before then, Auburn’s men had a reign of 16 straight years. Since its inception in 1936, only five other schools have finished as top squads at the SEC Championships (Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU).

The women’s sector contains more parity, as five different programs have claimed titles since 2014-15. Last year, Florida became the first school since Auburn in 2007-08 to take both men’s and women’s crowns.
