Gymnastics Picked 12th in WCGA Preseason Poll

MARLBORO, N.J. – The University of Missouri gymnastics team was voted 12th in the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Preseason Poll on Friday, Dec. 8. This marks the eighth-consecutive season Missouri was listed among the top 20 teams in the poll, as the Tigers were selected ninth prior to last season and 16th for four straight years before that.

The 2024 Mizzou schedule features matchups with nine teams ranked in the WCGA Preseason Poll, five of which are in the top 10. Overall, the Tigers will faceoff with No. 2 Florida, No. 3 LSU, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Kentucky, No. 10 Denver, No. 15 Arkansas, No. 16 Georgia, No. 17 Auburn and No. 26 Illinois.

Mizzou official opens the season on Saturday, Jan. 4 at home against Lindenwood, SEMO and Northern Illinois, before hitting the road to Alabama and Georgia.

Additionally, Mizzou will show out for the home crowd in Columbia at the Black & Gold exhibition on Sunday, Dec. 10. The action starts at 1 p.m. with free admission for all fans.
