Track and Field Bears Finalize Indoor Schedule

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State Track and Field head coach Jordan Fife announced the Bears’ indoor season schedule on Tuesday.

“I am really looking forward to getting things started next week. This team has been working really hard this fall,” head coach Jordan Fife said. “We have a lot of newcomers so it’s going to be fun to watch them all compete for the first time in a Missouri State uniform.”

The Bears will open their season at the Crimson and Gold Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State University on Dec. 9. This will be the second season in a row that the Bears make their season debut at Pittsburg State.

Missouri State will not compete for over a month before heading to Washburn University for the Washburn Rust Buster on Jan. 20. A week later, the Bears will be back at Pittsburg State for the Pittsburg State Invitational on Jan. 27.

The Bears will kick off February with a trip to the University of Nebraska for the Frank Sevigne Invite on Feb. 2 and 3. The invite will be the Bears’ first multi-day meet of the season.

On Feb. 9 and 10, Missouri State will make its final trip to Pittsburg State for the indoor season. The Bears will compete in the two-day Gorilla Classic before heading to the University of Arkansas for the Arkansas Qualifier on Feb. 16.

The Bears will end the indoor season at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship on Feb. 25 and 26 in Chicago.
