Bria Armstrong named All-Region in outdoor track & field

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Drury’s Bria Armstrong was named to the Outdoor Track & Field All-Region team by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Armstrong earned her place on the All-Region team for her performance in the triple jump. The sophomore from Chicago Heights, Ill., posted her season-best of 11.79 meters / 38 feet, 25 inches at the Miner Invitational hosted by Missouri S&T in Rolla on March 24-25.

The Panthers track & field teams completed their second season under head coach Lee Wood, who has coached four GLVC champions in track & field and cross country and led the Drury indoor track & field squad to their best finish ever at the GLVC championships in 2023 with a third place finish.
