Rylee Kolb named Academic All-District

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—  Drury outfielder Rylee Kolb was named to the Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (formally CoSIDA) for her achievements on the softball field and in the classroom during the 2023 season.
 
Kolb was a Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection in 2023, marking her second straight season being selected to the all-conference squad. She hit .333 for the Panthers last year with 42 hits in 40 games. Kolb hit two home runs, drove in 16 runs and had 10 doubles. The junior from Jefferson City, Mo. (Helias HS) also posted a team-leading .492 slugging percentage. Kolb is a Criminology major with a 3.59 grade point average.
 
Those selected for the Academic All-District become eligible for Academic All-American honors.
 
All eligible nominees earn the honor with a minimum of a 3.50 undergraduate or graduate GPA required in addition to their performance on the field.
 
The Panthers finished the year 26-27, 13-11 in the GLVC, and advanced to the third round of the conference tournament.
