SPRINGFIELD — Fans and supporters of Missouri State Athletics are invited to attend the 14th annual Bears Choice Awards, to be held at Great Southern Bank Arena on Monday, May 8.
Doors open at 6:30 for the annual red-carpet walk, followed by the awards program at 7 p.m. Admission to the event is free with general admission seating in the lower level.
The Bears Choice Awards is presented by members of Missouri State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) who serve as the presenters for the evening. SAAC members also take the lead in the nomination, selection and voting processes for the event and the awards presented.
In addition to numerous individual awards, including top student-athlete recognition in each class, the evening is highlighted by the presentation annual Bear Cup trophy. The Bear Cup is presented to the team that registers the top overall score in the Cup standings including criteria for Academic Excellence, Athletic Excellence, Bears Supporting Bears, Personal Development and Community Service.
