Feddersen, Goodwin Announced as Brad Davis SEC Award Winners

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Two student-athletes from the University of Missouri swimming and diving team, Will Goodwin and Amy Feddersen, were named the institutional winners for the 2022-23 Brad Davis Community Service Award by the Southeastern Conference.

Feddersen has earned Dean’s List distinction in six semesters of her collegiate career and is a four-time SEC Honor Roll member. She will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and will pursue a bachelor’s of science in nursing. She is a two-season member of Mizzou’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has spent extensive time working with local chapters of Special Olympics and the Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Goodwin will graduate with his bachelor’s degree in sciences and health sciences in spring 2023. He is a six-time member of Mizzou’s Dean’s List and a four-time SEC Honor Roll member. Through the Swim Across America organization, Goodwin has participated in events to help fund cancer research and clinical trials. The senior was active in the Columbia community with time spent in the public schools and food bank.

The school winners will each receive a $5,000 post-graduate scholarship provided by the SEC. The school award winners are nominees for the Male and Female Brad Davis Community Service Leaders of the Year which will be announced later in May, each receiving a $10,000 postgraduate scholarship, provided by the SEC.

The SEC Community Service Post-Graduate Scholarship is named for former Associate Commissioner Brad Davis. Davis succumbed to cancer on March 2, 2006, and had been a member of the SEC staff since 1988, first serving as an assistant commissioner until 1994 when he was promoted to associate commissioner.
