Columbia, Mo – Missouri Women’s basketball has signed 6-foot-2 grad-transfer forward Angelique Ngalakulondi, head coach Robin Pingeton announced on Tuesday. Ngalakulondi joins the program after four seasons at UMass.
Ngalakulondi started 32 games a season ago for the Minutewoman where she led the team and the Atlantic 10 Conference in field-goal percentage (56.6%).
The Tigers’ signee averaged 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in 2022-23 while swatting 31 shots.
In four seasons on the east coast, Ngalakulondi totaled 682 points, 488 rebounds and 85 blocks.
The newcomer has notched eight double-double efforts during her collegiate tenure including three last season.
A native of the Congo, Ngalakulondi played her prep career at Proctor Academy in New Hampshire where she was named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior.
She becomes the third international player on the Tigers roster joining Sara-Rose Smith (Victoria, Australia) and Mama Dembele (Manlleu, Spain).
