Drury wins six events at the Dewey Allgood Invitational

ROLLA, Mo. — The Drury track & field team won six events on Saturday at the Dewey Allgood Invitational, a quadrangular meet with the Panthers, Southwest Baptist, Missouri-St. Louis, and host Missouri S&T in Rolla.
 
Bria Armstrong won two events for the Drury women’s team. The sophomore from Chicago Heights, Illinois, took first in the triple jump with a jump of 11.01 meters. She also won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.16.
 
Mia Harris also picked up a first-place finish with the women’s team as she won the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:26.01.
 
Drury’s men’s team won three events. Cole Sutton took first in the 800 meter run. The sophomore from O’Fallon, Missouri, completed the run in 1:57.01.
 
Gabriel Bauer won the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:10.13.
 
The Panthers ended the meet with a victory in the 4×400 meter relay. Drew Robinson, Jalen Shaw, Luke Kerr, and Cole Sutton combined for a time of 3:34.80.
 
Sutton also competed last weekend in the 1500 meter run at the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by Arkansas. He finished 16th in a 22-runner field in the Divison I event and posted a time of 3:57.37.
 
Drury track & field competes again in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship meet May 4-6 in Rolla, Missouri.
