Panthers face McKendree in GLVC Quarterfinals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Drury men’s tennis team starts their postseason on Friday at Center Grove High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The first hurdle in their way is the McKendree Bearcats who they will face Friday at noon (Central).
 
Drury is seeded as the third seed out of the GLVC West, whereas McKendree is the second seed out of the GLVC East.
 
Drury ended the season 9-5 overall with a 2-2 conference record. McKendree is 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The last time these two teams met, Drury defeated McKendree 6-1 in O’Fallon, Ill, on March 11.
 
Drury’s Sylvain Garin-Michaud comes into the conference tournament ranked fifth in the nation in singles, the highest of any GLVC individual.
 
The winner of this match will take on the winner of Southwest Baptist and Illinois Springfield on Saturday.
 
The Championship match will be on Sunday at noon Central.
